- You have read and understood these terms and the limitations of what Hearthford offers.

3. Service Description
Hearthford offers three programmes to households in Malaysia:
A single four-hour guided workshop for families seeking to develop more structured household conversations around routines, shared responsibilities, and future plans.
A four-session programme across two months, guiding households to create a single shared records folder covering identification, household papers, and a written family timeline.
A year-long programme of six facilitated sessions — including an initial setup visit, four quarterly conversations, and a closing annual review.
Programme availability is subject to scheduling. Hearthford operates within the Klang Valley and by arrangement at other locations. All sessions are conducted in English unless an alternative is arranged in writing before enrolment.
4. Educational Scope — Not Professional Advice
Hearthford's programmes are educational and organisational. They do not constitute legal, financial, psychological, or any other form of professional advice. Hearthford does not interpret individual circumstances, make recommendations on specific personal matters, or represent households in any external proceedings.
Programme facilitators use established communication frameworks to help households conduct their own conversations. All decisions made during or after a programme remain the sole responsibility of the household members involved.
If you require legal counsel, financial planning, psychological support, or any other regulated professional service, you should engage a qualified practitioner independently. Hearthford does not refer households to specific practitioners and accepts no responsibility for decisions made in reliance on programme content.
5. Enrolment
Enrolment in a Hearthford programme is confirmed when:
- Hearthford has issued a written confirmation of your booking by email.
- The applicable programme fee or deposit has been received.
Hearthford reserves the right to decline an enrolment where, in its assessment, the programme would not serve the household's stated needs, or where scheduling does not permit the programme to be delivered to an appropriate standard. In such cases, any payment received will be returned in full.
6. Payment & Fees
All fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of applicable taxes where stated.
- Household Communication Workshop (RM 580): Payment in full is due at the time of booking confirmation.
- Family Records Organisation Programme (RM 1,950): A deposit of RM 650 is due at booking; the balance is due before Session 2.
- Annual Family Planning Programme (RM 4,620): Payment may be made in full or in two instalments — RM 2,310 at enrolment and RM 2,310 before the third session.
Accepted payment methods will be communicated at the time of booking. Fees are not transferable to a different programme without prior written agreement from Hearthford.
7. Cancellation & Rescheduling
Cancellation by the participant
| Notice Given Before First Session | Refund |
|---|---|
| 14 days or more | Full refund of all amounts paid |
| 7 to 13 days | Refund of amounts paid, less deposit |
| Fewer than 7 days or after session has begun | No refund; session may be rescheduled once at no charge |
Cancellation by Hearthford
Hearthford will make every reasonable effort to deliver sessions as scheduled. If Hearthford must cancel a session due to circumstances within its control, a full rescheduling will be offered at no additional cost. If rescheduling is not possible, a proportional refund will be issued.
Rescheduling
One rescheduling request per session is accommodated at no charge if submitted at least 72 hours before the session time. Subsequent rescheduling within the same programme may incur an administrative fee of RM 80 per session.
8. Participant Conduct
Hearthford's programmes work best in an atmosphere of calm and respectful exchange. Participants agree to:
- Engage with session content in good faith and treat all household members and the facilitator with courtesy.
- Not record sessions (audio, video, or written transcript) without prior written consent from Hearthford and all other participants.
- Keep private any personal information shared by other household members during sessions.
- Not use programme materials or session content for commercial purposes or redistribute them to third parties.
Hearthford may withdraw a participant from a session or programme if conduct poses a risk to the wellbeing of other participants or the facilitator. In such cases, fees already paid will not be refunded.
9. Intellectual Property
All content created by Hearthford — including session frameworks, worksheets, written materials, website text, and visual design — is the intellectual property of Hearthford and is protected under applicable Malaysian and international copyright law.
Participants are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use materials provided during their programme for the household's own internal use. This licence does not permit:
- Reproduction or distribution of session materials to individuals outside the enrolled household.
- Use of Hearthford materials for any commercial purpose or in any other programme or service.
- Modification or adaptation of Hearthford frameworks or materials without written consent.
10. Disclaimers
This website and the information it contains are provided for informational purposes only. Hearthford makes no representations about the completeness, accuracy, or suitability of the information presented.
Programme outcomes vary by household. Hearthford does not make any representations about specific results that will follow from participation in a programme. Household communication and planning is a long-term process that depends on the ongoing choices of household members.

11. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable Malaysian law, Hearthford's total liability to any participant in connection with a programme shall not exceed the total fees paid by that participant for the programme in question.
Hearthford shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss arising from participation in a programme or use of this website.
- Decisions made by household members during or after a programme.
- Any loss arising from force majeure events beyond Hearthford's reasonable control, including illness, severe weather, or infrastructure disruption.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by Hearthford's negligence, or for fraudulent misrepresentation.
12. Termination
Either party may end a programme arrangement by providing written notice. Where the participant terminates, the cancellation fee schedule in Section 7 applies.
Sections 4 (Educational Scope), 9 (Intellectual Property), 10 (Disclaimers), and 11 (Limitation of Liability) survive the termination of any enrolment and continue to apply.
13. Governing Law & Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from or connected to these terms or a programme arrangement shall first be referred to informal negotiation between the parties. If no resolution is reached within 30 days, the dispute shall be referred to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
Consumers in Malaysia retain any rights conferred by the Consumer Protection Act 1999 that cannot be excluded by contract.
14. Changes to These Terms
Hearthford may update these terms from time to time. The revised version will be published on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Changes do not apply retrospectively to programmes already in progress at the time the change is published.
For currently enrolled participants, Hearthford will notify material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
